Three teams (London Lions, Cockfosters & Hoddesdon) are being promoted from division 1 to fill the gaps in the Spartan South Midlands Premier division caused by the promotion of champions Dunstable Town and runners up Aylesbury United and Haringey Borough (who the FA are moving sideways to the Essex Senior League). No sides suffered relegation.

Berkhamsted’s development squad under Joe Sweeney will be competing in the Suburban League North, whose constitution was confirmed at this week’s AGM. They will be playing Barton Rovers, Chalfont St Peter, Dunstable Town, Harefield United, Leighton Town, Newport Pagnell Town, Northwood, Royston Town, Southall and Tring Athletic.

Dave Smith takes charge of the Berkhamsted under 18s side in the midweek Southern Counties Floodlit Youth League. The division will be very local featuring games with Chesham United, Colney Heath, Kings Langley, Leverstock Green and London Colney. Dave previously managed Hemel in that division, and will be enlisting the help of his professional footballing sons Tommy and Jack with some training sessions. The club is aiming to continue to develop its own talent. Last season 8 of the under 18 side made first team appearances.
