Steve Davis Jim Hart and Biff Huber worked hard to make the Broadwater pitch fit to play football unlike so many grounds locally, but the reward was a lacklustre display from  the home side who were missing the unavailable Jordon Frederick, Dale Sears and Frankie Jowle.

The first half was goalless with neither keeper being kept busy as shots on target were a rarity. Tom Kennard made one good save from Connor Calcutt after Lewis Pritchard flicked the ball into his path. For the visitors Michael McKenzie began to look dangerous as the game wore on. Ampthill skipper Robbie Goodman got the only goal of the game with a finely placed shot on the turn with quarter of an hour remaining. Despite a flurry of substitutions Berko could not get the equaliser. One good chance fell to the overlapping Tommy Twelves but he slipped as he shot.

Tasker; Twelves,  Rodrigoe, Sedgley, Branson, Culaj, Towell (Toomey) Griggs, Pritchard (Thompson ), Calcutt (Stephenson), Chamberlain.Subs not used Gavin, & Morrissey.
