Conference North side Bishops Stortford were too strong for the Comrades on Tuesday night, who were missing the supended Dan Griggs and Jordon Frederick. Whilst Berko played well the slick one touch and passing of the visitors put them two goals up in the first half hour. Blair Sturrock who has Football League experience with Plymouth Argyle and Southend United finished off a fine passing move for the opener. A cheeky back heel set up ex Chesham United player Steve Cawley for the second.

Mick Vipond brought on Jamie Gavin and Lawrence Bunker at half time. Soon they were a third goal down with Sturrock again the scorer. A push gave Berko a penalty which Lawrence Bunker scored for his 13th goal of the season sending Ross Kitteridge the wrong way from the penalty spot. Soon after Jesse Waller Lasson made it 4-1 to put Stortford through to the second round. Recent signing Nick Ward came on to make his debut for Berko in the closing stages.

Tasker; Gavin, Power(Gavin), Rodrigoe, Cluaj, Preston, Miller, Jowle, Sears(Ward), Stephenson (Bunker), Chamberlain. Subs. Not used Boad and Sedgley.
