PRESENTATION EVENING
Berkhamsted Football Club gave out their annual awards on Saturday Night, 19th May.
Chairman Steve Davis got proceedings underway as he thanked all the teams of players and all the Staff who work so hard to provide football at Broadwater.
The players voted left back Lewis Rodrigoe as their player of the year in his first season in the Premier Division, where the club finished 7th.
The Comrades Supporters Association provided the shield for the fans player of the season and Matt Wardle was the first recipient, Matty also received the First Team Golden Boot award.
Valuable squad member Jamie Gavin won Manager Micky Vipond’s award.
Rowan Taylor was top scorer for Berko’s Suburban League Reserve side and was voted Player of the Year by his teammates.
Midfielder Scott McPherson won Manager Paul Tomkins’ award.
Chris Chance was the young player of the year for the Reserves and also under 18 Manager Joe Sweeney’s choice as Youth Team Player of the Season.
The under 18 players voted defender Seb Smith as their Player of the Year.
Grant Hastie took the Club Man of the Year award for his many roles at the Club.
The new season is not far away with the Broadwater pitch being reseeded today and training starts on Tuesday 3rd July. New players are welcome. The first competitive match will be on Saturday 28th July when Berkhamsted entertain Harpenden Town in the Herts Charity Shield.
