Joe Sweeneys side notched their third win in their last five League matches as they followed up a creditable draw with Hemel Hempstead by beating Chesham at The Meadow last night.

A young starting line up that included three fifteen year olds took to the field against a Chesham outfit that had beaten us 2-1 at Broadwater back in October.

After a very even first half, where Berko had the best of the chances, the teams went in 0-0.

For the start of the second half Hart and Pereira replaced Reid and Lewis and with a change of formation Berkhamsted better utilised the wide Chesham pitch.

The home side took the lead against the run of play, with a ball into the box, which was unfortunately not held by our keeper.

The response was immediate, and Jordan Aikman was tripped inside the Chesham penalty area when through on goal. Unfortunately, he struck the resulting spot kick wide.

However, undeterred by this setback, the deserved equaliser soon arrived after some neat build up play led to Seb Smith slotting home, setting up a tense final period.

Twelves replaced Osborne and Berko continued to apply the pressure as the clock ran down. With a minute remaining further neat build up play gave Hart the chance and after beating his marker he fired home to give the Youth Team the three points.
