Comrades Honoured at Presentation Night

Friday evening saw Berkhamsted FC celebrate claiming the Division One Championship at their Presentation Night at Broadwater.

The clubhouse was packed with players, volunteers and supporters to see the winners of the annual Awards for all three teams announced.

Following a welcome and introduction from Rob Allnutt to all present, First Team Manager Micky Vipond ran through his thoughts and thanks on another highly successful campaign for the Comrades.

The First Team are handed their Championship Medals.

Berkhamsted’s volunteers receive a well-earned round of applause for all their hard work.

Micky Vipond – guided Berkhamsted FC to a second consecutive Championship and gathering the highest points total in the whole country in league or non-league football of 107 points.

Tony Burnett – Supporters’ and Players’ Player of the Season

Eddie Farmer – Manager’s Player of the Season

James Armstrong – Leading Goalscorer (received in his absence by Lawrence Bunker)

Paul Tomkins, who took over the Suburban League managerial reins in mid-season, announced the awards for his team:

Chris Mason – Manager’s Player of the Season

Stuart Bailey – Players’ Player of the Season

Josh Chamberlain – Leading Goalscorer

For the Comrades Under-18s, manager Danny Johnson made a brief speech before announcing the awards for Berkhamsted’s youngsters:

Micky also announced the result of the Volunteer of the Season, which was awarded to Daphne Gregory.
