Unbeaten League Run Ends

And so the Comrades’ long unbeaten run in league football came to an end at Kings Langley, and full credit to Paul Hobbs and his team for an outstanding performance and deserved victory.

Not since the 31st August 2009 had anyone taken three points from Micky’s team, an amazing run of forty-two games, the equivalent of a full season, or a year, two months and six days without loss.

Every single player who has donned a Berko shirt during this run should be rightly proud of being part of such a magnificent acheivement.

And Saturday also saw the Comrades kept goalless in the league for the first time since the 22nd August 2009, a testament to the top quality of the strikers we have enjoyed watching since the club formed.

The run had to end some time, but we only have to wait seven days before we get the show back on the road at London Lions!

Take a bow boys!
