Final warm-up ends all square

Berkhamsted rounded off their programme of pre-season friendlies by holding Premier division Kentish Town to a 2-2 draw.

They were again the better team in the first half with James Armstrong opening the scoring with a well taken finish. Five minutes from the interval they doubled their lead when a low Adam Mead free kick took a big deflection off a defender to make it 2-0.

The visitors pulled one back in the second half when they won a penalty for pushing by Luke Bartlett. The Comrades new signing from Aston Clinton Aaron Usmani got the ball in the back of the net from a Tom Allnutt pass but it was disallowed for offside.

As usual in pre-season games there were lots of substitutions as managers looked at various squad members.

The visitors came back strongly firstly  hitting the post and then near the end netting an equaliser. Ed Farmer had to pull off some fine saves to earn the draw.
