Berkhamsted 3 – 2 Bletchley

Berhamsted beat 11th place Bletchley 3-2 at Broadwater this afternoon.

James Armstrong netted the opening goal before Peter Macanespie levelled for the visitors.

Armstrong netted again after half time, only to see The Comrades lead be cancelled again by Macanespie.

Laurence Bunker put away the winner towards the end of the second half, giving Berko a win over their 10-man opponents.

Elsewhere in the league fellow title contenders Wodson Park and Padbury United both picked up three points, but Aston Clinton suffered a surprise 2-1 defeat away to Tottenhoe.

Berkhamsted are now five points clear of second place Wodston Park with a game in hand and seven clear of Aston Clinton having played two more.

The Comrades are at home again next Saturday facing Tring Corinthians in the infamous Commies-Corries local derby.

Match report to follow.
