Resergent Reserves tonk Tottenhoe

Berkhamsted’s reserves got back after the snow break to play two games in a week.

On Wednesday night, they went down 3-1 and out of the Herts Intermediate Cup in a derby at Hemel. Darren Lewis gave Berko a half time lead with a fine header from a right wing cross by Michael East. However, Hemel hit back in the second half with three goals from dead balls. One free kick on the wing was centred and headed in, another from just outside the penalty area beat the defensive wall and keeper Dan Noble, and Ben Butler rounded off the scoring with a penalty kick.

On Saturday the Comrades went into a two goal half time lead but Totternhoe Reserves twice pulled goals back only each time for Berkhamsted to score again so it finished 4-2. The Berkhamsted goals came from Darren Lewis, Richard Usherwood, skipper Ralph Weedon and a rare header from teenage substitute Josh Chamberlain.

The reserves are at home to Tokyngton Manor with a 3pm kick off for that match at Broadwater.
